Today, I’d like to respond to a commonly requested question. This is a question I hear from not only readers, but also from many of my young mother friends who are planning baby nurseries! Inquiring readers seek modern baby nursery ideas that are charming but not excessively themed or immature, and that will develop with the child.

So, for all of you new mommies (and grandmas!) working on baby nursery, I thought I’d compile some inspiration rooms today! These are the types of rooms I’d design if I had more babies (wahhhh! no more for me till we had grandkids, but I adore babies and would have them forever if I could keep up with them hehe).

You don’t even have to go to a regular baby store to build a one-of-a-kind nursery! To have a memorable room for a baby, you don’t need themed nursery furnishings (unless you want them). You may build a place for a baby that reflects styles you adore..

These rooms are fantastic examples of charming baby designs that don’t scream nursery themes. They’d look lovely in any house, and your infant will be able to interact with the room’s design components even after the cot has been removed.

You’ll have just the right elements for a perfect baby nursery if you add whimsical or fun details like pom pom trim, soft touchable rugs, adorable wallpaper, striking light fixtures, and fun curtains in whatever colors you love, as well as some great baby items like rockers for mama and plush toys for baby.

And, since we’re on the subject of babies (and because I personally know a lot of moms who are expecting kids right now! ), Cassie, our adorable pregnant friend, will be coming on Wednesday to show you how to make a simple DIY baby gift for a special baby!
